Control algorithms on the controller make suitable changes to controller output to ensure that the difference between desired and actual motor parameters (speed, torque, etc.) is minimized. This closed-loop control is a requirement for many applications that have strict and stringent needs for accuracy and precision. Several options and selectable features are available and allow customization of 2AD motors to application requirements. Selectable features include the mounting method, shaft type, cooling method, power connection location, and type of motor bearings. Optional features include holding brakes and shaft seal. 2AD160C-B35LL1-BS13/S011 is motor with a terminal box for the power connection, which is located on the left side.

To aid installation Bosch has made the motor available with flange and foot mounting. The axial blower improves airflow across the housing for increased heat dissipation.
