With the S001 special option, the 2AD132D-B35OA1-AS01/S001 servo motor features an 11 mm rotating shaft that comes with a special keyway design with a locking mechanism, allowing the couplers attached to the shaft to stay locked in place. This servo motor is designed to generate 140 Nm while operating at a nominal voltage of 290 volts AC and drawing up to 59 Amperes of nominal current. This motor also features an Axial blower fan that requires 460 to 480 volts AC to operate, drawing up to 0.63 Amperes of current. The airflow generated by this blower fan is 1000 m³ per hour, ensuring quick cooling of the motor internals.
The motor comes with a simple high-resolution feedback system where the output of the motor is continuously taken in by the control system to generate errors between the input and expected output values, minimizing the error rate by continuously performing this operation. This motor uses serial communication mode, mainly the RS232 protocol, where it directly communicates with the motor controller via a serial 2-wire connection. An external encoder can also be attached to the servo for accurate tracking of the servo shaft, whilst relying on the EnDat digital encoder interface.
The motor's overall low inertia of 0.118 kgm² helps it accelerate and decelerate accordingly, allowing it to quickly adjust its speed, especially in applications where positioning of the shaft along with high-speed movements is very critical. Such examples include high-speed robotics. The poles on this motor come with a pair of 3s that are responsible for electromagnetic induction, and this motor is an Asynchronous servo motor. The motor requires 3-phase operation with a 120-degree phase shift.
