For applications that require a high torque output from a servo motor that is also capable of providing robust control system mechanisms, the 2AD132D-B05OC1-AS07-A2N2 is the perfect choice for the job as it comes with a winding designation code of AS that has a power rating of 22 kW. This motor comes with a torque rating of 140 Nm and is designed to generate a speed of 1500 rpm at the base and 7500 rpm at the peak, making the motor very versatile for both low-speed and high-speed applications.
The power terminal position on this servo motor is at the top of the enclosure which makes it easier for the operator to reach when wiring this servo motor or working on it during maintenance activity. This AC motor also offers an axial blower which helps regulate air within the enclosure, moving it from the back end to the front of the servo motor, and cooling it down in the process. The connector for this axial blower fan is on the front of the servo motor helping keep the wiring for both the power terminal and the axial blower separate and tidy, preventing them from being tangled.
This AC servo motor features a high-resolution feedback system supported by an integral multiturn absolute encoder. This multi-turn absolute encoder is able to track the rotations of this servo shaft for up to 4096 rotations. The absolute encoder relies on positional values unlike an incremental encoder where the encoder is continuously counting the steps which may end up causing the communication channel to get busy, the absolute encoder does not do this as it only requires a single value for the position or an angle for the shaft to rotate to.
