The 2AD132C-B35LB2-CS03-A2V2 is a 96 Nm AC servo motor part of the 2AD series of servos from Rexroth. This Asynchronous motor relies on the induction motor design, where the rotor is rotated with the help of the stator, which has 3 excitation coils that help generate electromagnetic fields causing the rotor to rotate. The 3 poles or coils in this motor can be excited with the same voltages of 279 volts AC but at a different frequency to control and regulate the speed of the motor.

This motor has a rotor inertia of 0.076 kgms², which is low and perfect, as this would allow the motor to accelerate and decelerate its speed quickly without taking much time. The motor has a plain balanced shaft design which is perfect for torque transmission and also comes with a shaft sealing to prevent lubrication oil from spilling out and to prevent dust and moisture from getting inside the motor from the front.
