The 2AD132C-B05OA2-BS03-D2N3 from Rexroth is a size C servo motor designed to be compact and easier to mount with the help of flange mounts. This servo motor has a speed rating of 1500 rpm base while a maximum peak speed rating of 7500 rpm makes this motor a great choice for high-speed drilling applications as well as high-speed robotics thanks to its high-resolution feedback system. The motor also comes with a second shaft end to add a secondary encoder on side B of the motor, further enhancing the accuracy.
Since this motor has a noise level rating of 75 dB, it does not require a noise shield. The motor also comes with a shaft seal ring; this ring helps keep the motor enclosure well protected from the shaft end as dust may try to enter the motor from the front. In addition to the seal ring, Rexroth has made all the 2AD motors IP 65 certified, which not only protects it from dust but also prevents the motor from getting affected by low levels of moisture, keeping it protected in the case of light rainfall.
The motor has an operating temperature range between 0 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius and has a thermal time constant of 50 minutes. This motor is also designed to operate in a humid environment with maximum operating humidity levels of 95 %. The motor is also designed to withstand class F fires of up to 170 degrees Celsius thanks to its class F insulation, keeping the motor well protected. To store the motor, the manufacturer recommends keeping it in an area with a temperature between -20 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees Celsius.
