For AC servo motors, bigger is not always better. Although larger motors generally provide higher loading and driving capabilities, smaller motors are more suitable for rapid-response applications, especially when the least amount of space is desirable. When it comes to producing the most sturdy and compact AC servo motors, Rexroth Bosch’s 2AD motor series is a top contender. Most 2AD motors feature relatively smaller motor frames that have a compact centering diameter. Like other Rexroth’s motor series, 2AD motors may support either flange or foot attachments. Taking the 2AD104D-B35OB1-FS0B-B2N1 as an example, this 2AD motor weighs only about 60 kilograms and supports both foot and flange attachments.
With its FS-winding designation, the 2AD104D-B35OB1-FS0B-B2N1 nominally runs at a speed of 1800 rev/min. At this speed rating, the machine delivers its nameplate parameters.
