2AD series motors like the 2AD101D-B05OD1-BS03-A2N1 are induction air cooled motors manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. They are suited for use in packaging machinery, machine tools and other high precision applications that require high capacity motors with low inertia. This model is a size 101 motor with a frame length of D. It comes equipped with an axial blower which helps in surface cooling of the motor. The intuitive design of the motor also helps to prevent heat damage with inbuilt thermistors in the motor housing monitoring and controlling temperature. For optimal performance, this motor should be used in ambient temperatures ranging from 0 to 45 C.
