Rexroth’s 2AD101D-B05OB2-BS03-B2N2 is an efficient motor with type B05 construction and a length of 640 mm. Compared to other motors by Rexroth, this motor model belongs to the larger class of motors and can deliver high output without sacrificing portability. B05 motors allow flange mounting, including its variations. Specifically, the drive side of the motor may face downwards, upwards, or sideward when flanged. The centering diameter of the 2AD101D-B05OB2-BS03-B2N2 is 130 mm. The centering diameter is the diameter of the rotor shaft base, where the bearing is usually located.
The 2AD101D-B05OB2-BS03-B2N2 has a cooling mode of 2, which means that axial blower fans are present. For this particular motor model, however, instead of the conventional air current passing through side B to side A, the direction is reversed. Hence, at normal operation, the motor blower fans direct air flow from the drive to the rear side and consume a total power of 50 VA. The instructions in the manual also recommend not touching the motor after operation for at least 30 to 45 minutes.
