The 2AD100D-B05RB2-AS03/S001 is a special configuration of the 2AD100D motor that features a DIN-rated keyway shaft design. This design helps attach a coupler to the shaft end much more securely. This motor has a diameter of 100 mm, which is very compact compared to other models in the 2AD series of motors from Rexroth. The compact design not only makes it easy to install but is also excellent for maintenance purposes as it is easy to move around. The motor, however, does weigh 60 kg and may require a heavy lifting mechanism to be safely transported.
The 2AD100D-B05RB2-AS03/S001 has a power cord connection placed on its right, so it is recommended to keep the right side of the motor free from obstructions to allow for easy access during troubleshooting and maintenance. To help cool the motor down to operable temperature conditions, the 2AD100D-B05RB2-AS03/S001 features an axial blower fan that allows the air to travel from the front to the rear of the motor, cooling the winding and the entire rotor along the way without the need for special cooling liquid or an external fan system. To monitor the temperature, this motor features a negative coefficient temperature sensor, also known as a thermistor, that senses the temperature and may send out error signals to the control module if the temperature is out of the rated temperature range of the motor, sending an error signal.
The 2AD100D-B05RB2-AS03/S001 has a radial stress rating of 20,000 operation cycles, after which the stress marks may be visible on the motor's frame. The axial load allowed on this motor is approximately 30 N, after which it may cause the motor shaft to bend, damaging the motor's construction.
