The 2AD100D-B05OB2-AS11/S001 is a type of induction motor from the 2AD series by Rexroth Bosch. This motor is asynchronous, as it runs on alternating current and has a squirrel cage rotor. The alternating current passing through the stator produces a rotating magnetic field when the stator winding is driven by an alternating current source. The lack of brushes and slip rings reduces the possibility of sparking, making squirrel cage motors explosion-resistant. The 2AD series motor has a maximum power range of 93 kW and is equipped with a surface cooling system for industrial use.
The 2AD100D-B05OB2-AS11/S001 is a product of the 2AD series and has 100 D dimensions, where 100 is the size and D is the length of the motor. The flange mounting enables the motor to couple with the machine vertically or horizontally. DIN 42955 specifies the concentration and position tolerances for the mounting flange and shaft end.
