Since this motor features an encoder, which comes with memory installed on the encoder that helps with both position memory storage and communication with the motor controller. The motor utilizes a double duplex communication method sending error codes and receiving angle positions from the controller.

This motor has a class F DIN VDE 0530-1 insulation that provides heat insulation of up to 155 degrees Celsius, however, the motor should only be operated under 40 degrees Celsius for optimal performance. Speaking of temperatures the Rexroth 2AD100D-B05OA1-AS03/S001 features an Axial blower fan that allows it to suck in air from the front and pass it out the back of the motor helping it cool down its internals when under heavy use. This motor has a Thermal time constant of 50 minutes, causing it to heat up under 50 minutes of heavy use.
