2AD100C-B05OR2-AS03-A2N1 is an industrial servo motor. It is designed by Bosch Rexroth. The motor product line is 2AD, which is a series of surface cooled asynchronous servo motors ideally suited to applications such as machine tools, printing machines and packaging machines. This high-performance motor supports high-resolution feedback. It has a smooth shaft without a seal and IP40 protection rating. Installing the optional shaft seal will improve the protection rating to IP65. Standard bearings are used for servo motor construction. These bearings are lifetime lubricated deep-groove bearings. The mechanical service life of these bearings is 20,000 operating hours. Lubricant consumption has a significant effect on bearing service life. As long the motor bearings are subjected to a normal load, the duration of lubricant consumption will be longer than the mechanical service life.

Lower maintenance requirements for 2AD motors lower the operating costs and enable higher productivity and therefore profitability. The 2AD100C-B05OR2-AS03-A2N1 motor has a base speed of 1500 RPM and a maximum speed of 9000 RPM. Its rated power output is 5.5 kilowatts. Nominal output torque of the motor is 35 Nm and the rated current is 27 Amps. The motor is equipped with an axial blower for cooling. This blower requires 230 Volts AC external power supply. The 2AD100C-B05OR2-AS03-A2N1 motor only supports flange mounting via four mounting holes on the 192 millimeter flange. If required, operators can order 2AD motors with both flange and foot mounting options. Location of the IP65 rated power connection is on top of the housing. The power connection points towards the right side of the motor. Only qualified and properly trained technical personnel should be involved in motor installation and maintenance.
