2AD100C-B05OB2-AS23-A2N1 is a servo motor. In combination with a controller, it is primarily used as part of a main spindle drive or a servo drive system. Typical applications include packaging machines, printing machines, and reshaping machines. The motor is protected against contact with moving parts and penetration by water and solid objects. The motor has a smooth shaft without seal. Protection rating of the shaft is IP40 which means that it is protected against solid objects with dimensions greater than 1 millimeter, but not against water ingress. The plain shaft is suitable for friction-locked shaft-hub connections. The higher run quality and the backlash-free connection between shaft and hub are a significant advantage of the plain shaft design. Bosch recommends using tension sets, pressure sleeves similar elements for coupling pinions, belt discs or similar drive elements.
The power connection and the feedback connection are both IP65 rated, meaning that they are protected against dust and against water from low-pressure water jets.
