2AD100C-B05OB1-AS13/S003 is a digital servo motor from Bosch Rexroth. The motor comes with support for several features such as an axial cooling fan and high-resolution motor feedback. The feedback cable connection on the motor is IP65 rated. The cooling fan produces airflow along the axis of motor shaft rotation. Bosch does provide radial cooling fans for its 2AD motors. These cooling fans can work with 115 Volts AC or 230 Volts AC power systems. The fan installed on the 2AD100C-B05OB1-AS13/S003 motor works with 230 Volts AC input. The motor also supports an optional holding brake. The brake is designed to engage after a 24 Volts DC signal is applied. The brake helps to reduce the probability of injury and accidents by reducing the risk of accidental shaft rotation. Bosch provides smooth shafts and shaft with keys for its 2AD motors.
The shaft on the 2AD100C-B05OB1-AS13/S003 is smooth and does not include a shaft seal. However shaft seals are available as an optional item and help to reduce dust and moisture ingress. Power for the motor arrives through a power cable that connects the motor and the servo controller. The power connection is located on the top side of the motor. This connection is IP65 rated.
