These asynchronous motors serve as direct drives in motor spindles used for lathing, milling, and grinding operations in transfer tools, finishing centers, and other special-purpose machinery.

The 1MR160F-B074/S001 is a rotor designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth as one of the models in the 1MR series. Like other models in this series, it features a sleeve and a laminated core with balancing rings in front. These balancing rings have tapped holes in front of them and are used to achieve the desired grade of vibration severity according to DIN VDE 0530. The 1MB frameless spindle motor compatible with this rotor has a frame size of 160, with its frame length indicated as F.

The moment of inertia of the 1MR160F-B074/S001 rotor is 0.016 kgm². The heat generated is dissipated via an air gap that connects it to the stator, which is equipped with a liquid cooling mechanism. To protect the laminated core of the rotor during transport, it is coated with a corrosion-resistant lacquer. The coating has to be removed before the rotor assembly, but it can be re-applied to protect the device during its use. In addition, it belongs to the protection category IP 00 based on the IEC 60529 standard. Therefore, this 1MR model, as with the entirety of the series, must not be exposed to a damp or foggy atmosphere or cleaning methods involving jets of water.
