Bosch Rexroth’s 1MB series of frameless spindle motors are high-speed asynchronous motors. They are a range of maintenance-free motors available in different frame lengths and sizes, which serve as direct drives in main spindles. Their typical applications are seen in modern CNC machines, processing centers, transfer lines, and special-purpose machines. They are used for operations like milling, turning, and grinding in these machines. The 1MS class of stators is components of these motors with an innovative cooling system.
The 1MS376B-QA-A2 is a stator model in the 1MS series for Bosch Rexroth’s 1MB frameless spindle motors. One of the critical features of the stator is its liquid cooling mechanism which endows its 1MB motor model with a high power density. It features a cooling jacket, around which the liquid coolant flows. The cooling of the motor also ensures that the temperature of the spindle housing is regulated and maintained. This stator model is specially designed for motors with a frame size of 376 and a frame length B.
The electrical connection of the 1MS376B-QA-A2 is done using a long loom of cables enclosed in a protective hose. This loom is 1.5m long and consists of three power wires. It is also conducted through the stator end with a smaller exterior diameter. The Ingress Protection rating of this stator model is IP 00 based on the IEC 60529 standard as it is prone to damage by the entry of external solid objects and water jets. It also requires an ambient temperature that ranges from 0oC to 40oC for its continued optimal operation.
