The Bosch 1MS240D-4A-A1 is a motor stator. It is compatible with 1MB motors that have the following specifications: winding code 4A, frame length D and motor frame size 240. Bosch 1MB motors are liquid-cooled asynchronous frameless spindle motors that are used as direct drives in motor spindles. The position of the motor between the main spindle bearings give the motor spindle a high rigidity. Typical applications for 1MB motors include turning, milling in grinding machine tools, processing centers, and transfer lines. Bosch 1MB motors are used in combination with a mains spindle control device. Due to the liquid-cooled stator, the 1MB motor deliver high power density. The coolant fluid absorbs the power loss of the stator and a large portion of the rotor power loss. The heat absorbed by the coolant is transferred to a superordinate coolant in the refrigeration unit.
The 1MS240D-4A-A1 includes an aluminum cooling jacket. The electrical connection on the 1MS240D-4A-A1 is via a 1.5-meter cable that is conducted through the stator end with bigger exterior diameter.
