The 1MS160H-4A-A1 is a stator section produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the 1MB High-Speed Asynchronous Motors series. As part of a frameless spindle assembly, this component creates the stationary magnetic field that interacts with the rotor to generate torque in milling, grinding, or turning spindles. Its compact profile allows machine builders to embed the active motor directly into the tool spindle housing, reducing overhung mass and improving acceleration. The stator serves as the fixed electromagnetic core within the spindle assembly, while the rotating portion is provided by the matching rotor.

Cooling is provided by liquid cooling, so coolant flows through the outer jacket to remove heat from the windings and keep temperature stable during high-speed cycles. The laminations correspond to frame size 160, an outside diameter suited to medium-power spindles and standard headstock bores. The axial stack length uses code H, which gives a longer magnetic core and raises torque without enlarging the frame.
