The 1MS160F-4B-A2/S010 stator is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the 1MB High-Speed Asynchronous Motors series. Acting as the stationary half of a frameless spindle assembly, it is pressed into the machine tool housing where it generates the rotating magnetic field that drives a matched rotor at very high speed. In automated machining centers, this subcomponent provides the electromagnetic torque source required for accurate cutting, drilling, and grinding cycles. Because it is supplied as the stationary element only, the surrounding spindle structure provides the final mechanical support for the completed assembly. This arrangement allows the motor section to be integrated closely with the shaft system instead of relying on a separate motor housing.

The stator uses liquid cooling for thermal management, so a closed circuit removes heat from the windings and keeps temperature rise low during high-speed duty cycles. Heat passes to the coolant through an aluminum cooling jacket, which also adds rigidity around the outside of the assembly. Motor leads exit through the rear by way of a 1.5 m loom, allowing direct connection to the drive without extra joints.
