The 1MS160D-4A-A1/S010 stator is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the 1MB High-Speed Asynchronous Motors series. It forms the stationary section of a frameless spindle motor and creates the rotating magnetic field that drives the matching rotor. In machine-tool spindles, printing drums, and other high-speed automation axes, the stator converts drive current into torque while remaining fixed to the housing. Its frameless format also helps conserve space in assemblies that require a compact motor structure around the spindle.

The electromagnetic core uses Frame size 160, which matches the outer dimensions used in standard 1MB housings, and its extended stack height is indicated by Motor length code D. An internal manifold supports liquid cooling, and the exterior is enclosed by an aluminum cooling jacket, so heat can be removed effectively during sustained high-frequency operation. This arrangement helps limit winding temperature during continuous duty and supports stable thermal behavior under demanding spindle loads. Power and sensor conductors are factory terminated to a 1.5 m loom that exits through the stator end plate, reducing installation work and keeping the spindle bore unobstructed.

Because the winding insulation and feedback leads are suitable for third-party drives, the stator can be connected to a range of inverters without custom adapters.
