The 1MR160F-A061 is built for the 1MB frameless spindle motor whose frame size is 160 and whose frame length is indicated as F. Its features include a design with step face interference fit and a completely processed outer rotor diameter. The moment of inertia of the rotor is 0.016 kgm2, and its inner diameter is 61mm. It is not ideal for use in an area with a damp or foggy atmosphere as its Ingress Protection rating is IP 00 according to the IEC 60529 standard. In such cases, the motor must be used with protective covers and seals and safe, non-aggressive cooling lubricants.
The weight of the 1MR160F-A061 is 10.2 kg. During transport, it is coated with a protective red lacquer that prevents corrosion. This coating should be removed before mounting the rotor, but corrosion protection can be reapplied to the rotor after its assembly to extend its service life.
