Product Description:

The Beckhoff IE5109-0000 is a dedicated extension box from the IE Extension Box Series that connects encoders. The casing has a 12-pin M23 connector with an outer thread for mounting encoder or sensor. This module has been designed to operate on 24 V DC for industrial automation systems with a tolerable significant deviation of 15% in both the negative and positive polarity.

The IE5109-0000 incorporates quadrature decoding with the 1-, 2-, and 4- fold evaluation for accurate position and velocity measurement. The module encompasses both a 16-bit binary counter and a 16-bit zero pulse latch which contributes to the reading and enabling or setting of the encoder’s value. It is suitable for fastening systems operating on higher speeds with a maximum frequency limit of 1 MHz while applying four fold evaluation. The module if supplied with 5 V DC encoder power along with 0.5 A sensor power which is short circuit protected against overload current.

It features Ethernet socket DP8 for establishing remote network connections also serving the launching of a module. The location of ESD: if the device in operation will come close to, or “touch,” a device, then that device must be recalibrated to which the current concentration is interrupted. The new Micro-PCIe ME722 enables a range of applications through dedicated cameras such as the D5 from Diamond Systems. C, on the other hand, works when the auxiliary switches are removed. The module has been designed and tested to meet the EMC emission and immunity requirements (EN 61000-6-2 and EM 61000-6-4) which allows its operation in noisy electrical environments.
