Product Description:
The Beckhoff IE2332-0000 is a digital I/O module from the IE Extension Box Series that is made in order to integrate four digital inputs and outputs at the same time in one device. The extension box is designed to operate under nominal load voltage of 24 V DC with allowable variation of −15% to +20% and operates well in different industrial settings. It has an IP65/66/67 protection class which makes it impervious to dirt, rain and extreme environments which permits use in outside and rugged applications.
The inputs and outputs are terminated in M12 screw type connectors which provide ruggedized and trouble-free connections. The input channels of the inputs further include a 0.2 ms input filter for quick signal input while the outputs can accept maximum 2 A current per channel with an overall output current capacity 4 A. Moreover, there is an electronic sketch proof of output and misconnection of supply voltage protection that adds to the reliability of the product even under harsh conditions. The module can work with ohmic and inductive loads and lamp loads increasing the applicability of the module for different uses.
Regarding the power requirements, the IE2332-0000 is equipped with an M8 male socket for power supply as well as an M8 female socket for connecting additional devices and daisy-chaining. The sensor power supply is extracted from the control voltage and its limit current value is up to 0.5 A with internal short-circuit protection. The nominal current of the auxiliary power supply is 30 mA per channel. The overall current drawn from the US voltage control is 25 mA only. The operating temperature of the IE2332-0000 equipment is from 0 to +55. With toleration of storage temperature from -25 to +85 it can be used in a variety of industrial settings.
