Product Description:
Beckhoff IE1001-0000 belongs to the IE Extension Box Series and purports to enhance input connectivity in industrial integration systems. It has 8 input connections and works on nominal input voltage and it is 24 V DC (with -15% to +20% Tolerance). M8 connectors are used to connect all of the inputs, enhancing the reliability of connections in a harsh industrial environment.
IE1001-0000 is fitted with an input filter having time constant of 3.0 ms which guarantees active signal detection. It is possible to apply a voltage to these states in compliance with EN 61131-2, type 2, active high and low are defined with ranges of -3 to +5 V and between 11 to 30V respectively. The typical value of input current is 6 mA. This ensures that power is effectively utilized. Also, the unit is able to deliver power to the sensors which are connected from the control voltage of a maximum of 0.5 A and the unit is short circuit proof.
The module’s power connection is a more organized affair owing to a male M8 socket (4-pin, a-coded) used as the feed and an M8 female socket (4-pin, a-coded) used for downstream, thus easing daisy- chaining of devices.
