Product Description:
The Beckhoff EL2904 is one of the terminals from the EL EtherCAT Terminal Series that has TwinSAFE technology embedded into it, thus the terminal serves both as a digital output terminal as well as providing functional safety mechanisms. All four output channels are rated at 0.5 A and function at a nominal voltage of 24V, making these terminals suitable for a variety of applications in automated industrial environments that require serious switching performed safely.
This terminal is quite versatile since it enables positive switching and ground piping switching. The Device features spring-loaded wiring terminals that promote both wiring types, 1-wire and 2-wire. TwinSAFE on the EL2904 ensures SIL (Safety Integrity Levels) 2 and 3 as well as PL (Performance Levels) c, d, and e are met.
