Product Description:

The Beckhoff part number ELX3202 from EtherCAT Terminal is an outstanding automation device for industries.

Two differential inputs on the terminal unit may process temperature sensors, such as Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni120, and Ni1000, as well as resistance measuring devices with a range of 10 Ω to 4 kΩ and KT(Y) sensors. The terminal supports various sensor needs by operating in 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire connection types. By default, it is in 2-wire mode. The measuring range of the ELX3202 depends on the type of sensor that is used, since Ni sensors can detect temperatures between -60°C and +250°C, while Pt sensors can measure temperatures between -200°C and +850°C. Although it may give a high-resolution temperature measurement of up to 0.01 degrees Celsius per digit, this terminal's default setting of 0.1 degrees Celsius per digit serves significant applications. Depending on the kind of sensor and measurement range, the terminal runs on a measuring current of less than 1 mA to minimize power consumption and prevent interference. The terminal generates measurement errors of less than ±0.3% of the full-scale value for reliable and precise data.

The terminal uses an inbuilt resistance measurement of more than 10 kΩ (differential mode) to ensure signal purity and precise data output from associated sensors. This terminal contains an input filter to control electric noise from the environment, preventing noisy and unsteady observations when set to a cut-off frequency of 1 kHz. Users have a range of options for data processing speed since the system's baseline speed is 170 ms, but it may range from 10 ms to 3300 ms. The terminal can function efficiently with 24 V DC power from the ELX9560 power supply and power contacts, consuming no more than 10 mA from the power contacts and 70 mA from the E-bus. For complex temperature measurement applications, the terminal includes integrated digital filtering, limit value monitoring, and characteristic curve linearization features. It can be purchased at Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty.
