This EtherCAT Terminal model ELX2002 from Beckhoff manages control activities for industrial automation systems.

This terminal supports devices and systems from a wide variety of manufacturers, thanks to its two outputs, each of which operates on 2-wire connection technology. The terminal provides 24 V DC open circuit voltage, but its load voltage depends on the resistance of 254 Ω to support variable load requirements. Industrial applications benefit from the ELX2002 terminal because it supports the operation of a much wider load types, including ohmic, inductive, and capacitive loads. Power connections linked to the ELX9560 power supply offer a 24 V DC supply voltage for the electronics' constant, reliable functioning. For maximum power efficiency, the power connections pull 10 mA in addition to the load's current, while the E-bus draws 45 mA. The terminal allows each channel to consume a maximum current of 45 mA, and the total current consumption between both channels should not exceed 80 mA.

The device provides a well-suited solution for operating various low-to-moderate output current devices. The terminal functions in harsh industrial settings, operating between -25°C and +60°C and -40°C and +85°C when being stored.
