The terminal provides 8 digital inputs and an option for 2 digital inputs with 2 incremental encoder inputs to support different signal processing requirements. A standard NAMUR sensor connection through 2 wires drives the terminal, which runs at an open circuit voltage of 8.2 V DC. The terminal identifies two digital signals through current measurements, where "0" corresponds to ≤ 1.2 mA and "1" represents currents of ≥ 2.1 mA. The device operates at a typical 300 µA hysteresis, which enables stable operation and protects against unnecessary trigger events. The terminal sustains reliable operations and minimizes maintenance frequency because it detects cable breaks at currents ≤ 200 µA and short circuits at currents above 6.3 mA.
