The EL9520 interface terminal offers AS-Link voltage directly to connected modules by allowing proper flow of power. It is developed by Beckhoff and the company is the market leader in the provision of reliable products.

The EL9520 interface terminal is a type of potential feed unit used in industrial automation fields. It executes without any address or configuration setting. There are no software or hardware adjustments required before usage. It pulls a standard current of 100 mA from the E-bus. It is not isolated to electrical meaning that the input and output sides access a common electrical connection. It has a compact terminal housing with signal LEDs on the surface. These displays provide clear status indications for fast visual checks. The enclosure is fabricated from the polycarbonate material which is known to be hardwearing and resistant to impacts within the normal environment. For electrical connections, the terminal places cross-section allowance between AWG28 and AWG14 for solid as well as stranded conductors. It also accommodates AWG26 to AWG16 for flexible wires with various standard-sized industrial cables.

The EL9520 interface terminal can operate with an input voltage throughout 35 V. The input voltage that flows is simply equal output and can pass through without being varied. The maximum output current that is found for the terminal is 2 Amp which is appropriate for many field device connections. Its mass of just 90 g is lightweight and easy to handle when mounted in a cabinet or a DIN type rail. The operating temperature range lies from 0°C and 55°C which easily settles conventional environmental conditions and also makes it an ideal device for many different indoor environments.
