Product Description:

The EL9400 is a power supply terminal built by Beckhoff Automation to primarily serve as a reliable provided of power to the E-bus, which is used for the exchange of data between the coupler and the EtherCAT terminals. This power supply unit is particularly useful for customers who work with a large number of connection terminals, each of which requires between 10 to 24 volts of power contacts from the E bus. This terminal is estimated to increase the power supplied to the E-bus by an average of about 2 amperes. The input voltage for this product is about 24 volts; however, a deviation of up to 15 per cent above and below this value is allowed. The typical input current for this unit is also estimated to be about 70 milliamperes.

The EL9400 power supply terminal has several certification markings, including the CE, UL, ATEX, and IECEx; it is internationally accepted and can function at the top level for long periods without any effect on its operation standards. The actual protection rating provided by the housing of this product unit is about IP20; the design of the terminal also allows for variable installation in any possible industry. The housing of this unit is made from polycarbonate, which is famous for its longevity and strength. This housing is about 100 millimeters tall, 68 millimeters wide and about 12 millimeters thick.

The installation of the EL9400 should be done on a 35 millimeters DIN rail in accordance to EN 60715 standards. If more than one unit of this product is used, they can be mounted together side by side through the double slot and key connection. The striping length of this product is between 8 to 9 millimeters.
