Product Description:

Beckhoff EL9200 potential supply terminal is designed to interact with EtherCAT I/O systems. The terminal, which has a combined standard voltage of 24 V DC, is used to establish supplementary potential groups. Beckhoff is well-known for its automation solutions, which allow industrial automation builders to create modular and expandable system designs.

The EL9200 supply terminal has a common voltage of 24 V DC and can be connected to a maximum current of 10 A. The fuse is built in and can handle 6.3 A. On the port, there is a green Power LED and a red Defect LED that make the state very clear. The 500 V electrical insulation between the E-bus and field potential at the supply port keeps the system safe and separate. The device may be installed adjacent to EtherCAT Terminals with a body width of 12 mm, whether they include a power contact. The terminal is meant to be put on a 35 mm DIN rail that meets EN 60715 standards. It also has a place where an extra power contact can be connected. Links between solid and loose wires can have cross-sections of 0.08 to 2.5 mm³, and links between ferrules can have cross-sections of 0.14 to 1.5 mm³.

The EL9200 potential supply terminal is enclosed in a small polycarbonate case that is approximately 50 g in weight and features signal LEDs. The terminal can be used safely in temperatures varying from 0°C to 55°C when it is kept between -25°C and +85°C. Within the process image, the bit width is 0, and the terminal does not need any address or setup settings. Enabling modular expansion and a dependable power source for terminals further downstream, the potential supply terminal is a robust method of power distribution in EtherCAT systems.

Frequently Asked Questions about EL9200:

Q: How does EL9200 indicate operational status?

A: The supply terminal uses a green Power LED for normal operation and a red Defect LED for fault indication. This provides clear visual feedback.

Q: Why is electrical isolation important in EL9200?

A: The supply terminal provides 500 V electrical isolation between the E-bus and field potential. This protects sensitive electronics and maintains signal integrity.

Q: Do EL9200 terminals allow side-by-side mounting?

A: Yes, the supply terminal supports side-by-side mounting with EtherCAT Terminals with or without power contact. This simplifies modular system expansion.

Q: How does EL9200 ensure safe grounding?

A: The supply terminal includes a PE contact for protective earth. This ensures safe grounding and reduces the risk of electrical hazards.

Q: Why is the fuse replaceable from the front in EL9200?

A: The front-replaceable fuse in the supply terminal allows quick maintenance. This minimizes downtime and maintains system availability.
