The EL9184-0000 is a supply terminal produced by Beckhoff and positioned within the EL EtherCAT Terminals series. It is used to distribute auxiliary voltage to downstream I/O slices, allowing field power to be separated from logic power on a DIN rail. In an EtherCAT station, this helps create separate supply sections for devices that should not share the same feed as the control electronics. The terminal also carries supply and return conductors through the assembly, which helps simplify wiring in compact machine controls and process equipment.

This model provides 8 additional power contacts that pass the supply potential through to adjacent terminals without extra jumpers. Internally, it offers 16 connection points arranged as 2 × 8 output channels, which supports organized distribution to connected sensors or actuators. Because the contacts are passed through internally, adjoining modules can be supplied in a clean chain without manual bridging between every slice. Each point can carry 10 A or less, so upstream protection should be selected to match that limit. The terminal has a 12 mm housing width and mounts on a standard 35 mm mounting rail, which supports dense cabinet layouts without taking much lateral space. During operation, it has an IP20 protection class, so it should be installed inside an enclosure where dust or liquids may be present. The internal bus bars are factory wired, and the direct plug-in terminals provide a fixed split of 8 × +24 V and 8 × 0 V to reduce wiring mistakes during assembly. The terminal can also be mounted in different positions, which gives added flexibility when surrounding modules or cabinet space limit routing options.
