The EL7411 EtherCAT Terminal is designed for precise control of brushless DC motors in medium power applications. The compact terminal supports high speed and dynamic positioning through encoder integration. It is engineered to deliver 4.5 A at 48 V DC and is compatible with EtherCAT networks for fast real time data exchange.
The EL7411 EtherCAT terminal enables high performance control of BLDC motors through a single output channel. It supports one BLDC motor output, one motor brake output and dedicated outputs for fan supply, fan mode control, encoder supply and sensor power. The device is equipped with two end position inputs, one encoder input, one fan diagnostics input and three integrated Hall effect sensor inputs. The integrated incremental encoder enhances positioning accuracy and enables reliable motor feedback. High speed control technology ensures implementation of advanced dynamic motion tasks. The terminal offers robust protection and monitoring features. The output current capacity of the EtherCAT terminal can be significantly increased by integrating the optional ZB8610 fan cartridge which enhances thermal management by actively dissipating heat. This allows the terminal to operate safely at higher current loads without triggering thermal shutdown or performance degradation. E bus current consumption of the terminal is around 190 mA. The permissible relative humidity for operation of the model is up to 95 % with no condensation.
