Beckhoff's EL7342-0000 is a motor output terminal in the EL EtherCAT Terminals series. The module mounts on a DIN rail alongside other terminals and provides two H-bridge stages for brushed DC motors used in conveyors, grippers, or indexing mechanisms in industrial automation. Its function is to convert EtherCAT process data into controlled voltage and monitor the related encoder channels so motion tasks can be handled directly at the I/O level.
The electronics within the terminal are supplied from the system rail at 24 V DC, which isolates the logic from the motor power contacts.
