Product Description:
EL7201-9014 is an EtherCAT terminal. It features a one-channel motion interface and is suited to safe torque off applications. The compact device offers excellent servo performance. PI speed control and field-oriented current enable responsive positioning tasks. Operational reliability is provided by monitoring of parameters that include undervoltage, overvoltage, and terminal temperature. The device supports EtherCAT for system communication and CAN-over-Ethernet at the application layer. This allow an effective interface with industrial computers. A total of sixteen LEDs provide status information about error messages and warnings. The EL7201-9014 terminal supports a direct connection to the motor with OCT. Available inputs include one safe torque off (STO), one feedback and two end position. The supported load type is permanent magnet 3-phase motor. The terminal provides outputs for one motor and one motor brake.
Supply voltage for the EL7201-9014 terminal is 24 Volts DC. The connection to the power supply is available via the power contacts. Range for the supply voltage is from 8 to 48 Volts DC. Output current of the device is 2.8 Amps and the peak current is 5.7 Amps for one second. A fan cartridge can be used for performance improvement. With this cartridge, the output current increases to 4.5 Aps and the peak current to 9 Amps for one second. The PWM clock frequency is 16 kilohertz and the rotating field frequency range is 0 to 599 Hertz. The terminal provides 24 Volts DC output for the motor brake and up to 0.5 Amps current. Frequency of the current controller is 32 kilohertz and the frequency of the speed controller is 16 kilohertz. Weight of the EtherCAT terminal is approximately 60 grams.
