Product Description:

The EL7047 from Beckhoff is a compact EL EtherCAT Terminals for precise motor control applications. It supports one channel for either independent or combined operation. The terminal handles stepper motors with high positioning accuracy.

The EL7047 terminal drives DC stepper motors with up to 5 A parameterizable output current which supports high performance industrial motion systems. It has a supply voltage of 24 V DC with a tolerance of minus 15 percent to 20 percent that allows stable operation under varied power supply conditions. The terminal supports encoder input with incremental signals to deliver precise motion tracking in feedback driven control applications. Its maximum motor voltage reaches up to 50 V DC which makes it suitable for mid range motor loads. The terminal electrical isolation of 50 separates the logic and field levels. Its galvanic isolation is also present between logic and field layers to improve long term operational safety and device reliability. The EL7047 terminal resolution spans 32-bit values for position velocity and acceleration. Its physical size is 12 mm wide 100 mm high and 68 mm deep designed for efficient use in control panel layouts. The terminal housing supports installation in standard control cabinets with compatibility for DIN rail configurations. It weighs approximately 105 g. The terminal consumes 140 mA current typically from the E-bus. Its pulse frequency can reach 400000 increments per second.

The EL7047 terminal provides around 5000 positions in typical use cases with consistent motion output. It allows up to 64-fold microstepping for smooth motion profiles. The terminal operates within a 0 to 55 °C temperature range. Its relative humidity can reach 95 percent without condensation. The integrated encoder interface improves performance in synchronized drive systems.
