Product Description:

Beckhoff manufactures the EL7037 which is an EL EtherCAT Terminal series used for industrial PCs and intelligent Input/Output modules. The terminal is designed for precision control of 2 phase stepper motors.

The EL7037 terminal supports a step frequency configurable up to 16000 full steps per second. It enables 64 fold micro stepping which enhances the resolution and smoothness of motor movements. The terminal typical applications reach about 5000 positions per revolution which ensures detailed control. Its encoder input accepts 5 to 24 V DC signals at 5 mA for flexibility across various sensors. The EL7037 terminal integrates distributed clocks that allow time synchronized control across the EtherCAT network. It operates with data bit settings of 5, 6, 7, or 8, and stop bits of 1 or 2 that ensure adaptability to communication requirements. The terminal parity settings can be configured to none, even or odd based on system compatibility. It supports baud rates up to 115.2 kbaud which ensures stable and fast communication. Its power supply requirement is 24 V DC which aligns with standard control cabinet voltages. The terminal current consumption from the E bus is approximately 100 mA which reduces total system load. It has an IP20 protection rating making it suitable for dry and protected industrial environments. The terminal functions reliably in operating temperatures from 0 to +55 °C and handles relative humidity up to 95% without condensation.

The EL7037 terminal measures 12 mm wide 100 mm high and 68 mm deep allowing easy DIN rail installation. Its approximate weight is 50 grams which supports compact machinery layouts. The terminal is built for high precision control using stepper motors in multi axis automation. It offers stable performance efficient motor handling and robust communication.
