Beckhoff EL6750 is a compact and smart EtherCAT terminal that can be used in industrial automation applications. It runs as a CANopen master and a slave terminal, which makes it appropriate for CANopen devices to connect with an EtherCAT network. It has one fieldbus channel and two communication channels to support different networks. This EtherCAT terminal allows for data transmission rates of up to 1 Mbps while providing support for different baud rates, which include 10, 20, 50, 100, 125, 250, 500, 800, and 1000 kbaud. The cable length of up to 15 meters per segment provides flexibility in system configuration. The EL6750 is available in a compact form, with a weight of about 70 grams, with a connection using a 9-pin D-sub connector following the CANopen protocol.

The EL6750 works with a typical power supply of 230 mA using an E-bus. This leads to minimization of the electrical power drawn from the EtherCAT interface when it is functioning.
