Beckhoff EtherCAT terminal EL6731-1008 is a high performance solution which enables you to integrate systems into the PROFIBUS DP fieldbus easily. This terminal is from the EL EtherCAT Terminal Series and the flexibility and speed of EtherCAT are enhanced with the robust communication advantages of PROFIBUS for industrial automation and control systems. The small form factor of the EL6731-1008 allows for simple integration, especially where space is limited; it measures only 70 grams in weight but is very versatile. The self-teaching terminal in the paper is provided with a 9-pin PROFIBUS DP galvanically isolated connector to provide a highly reliable signal quality. The parameters include data transfer rate of 9.6 kbaud to 12 Mbaud and is capable to do low and high speed data transfer.
