The EL6688 is an accuracy terminal which is specifically designed to be used as a reference clock within EtherCAT networks and can be fully utilized in TwinCAT systems. It provides distributed clocks as well as synchronous exact network devices through the application of the PTP protocol using both IEEE 1588-2002 (PTPv1) and IEEE 1588-2008 (PTPv2).
The terminal will provide uniformity and stability in timing among various components such that it proves to be efficient in those applications requiring coordinated accuracy. Being around 75 grams, the EL6688 is both lightweight and compact but meets high-strength performance. EMC compliant according to EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4 standards, it provides high immunity and low emissions for noisy industrial spaces.
