Product Description:
Beckhoff presents the EL6201 as a small-sized AS-Interface master terminal designed for industrial automation systems. It functions with one AS-Interface channel under V2.0, V2.11 and V3.0 versions. The terminal controls 31 slaves within version 2.0 while versions 2.11 as well as 3.0 support 62 slaves each.
The EL6201 interface terminal possess a compact dimensional measure of 12 mm (W) x 100 mm (H) x 68 mm (D) and it weighs about 55 grams. It provides a 3.5 cm DIN rail installation according to EN 60715 standards for mounting while the variable positioning allows secure fixing in cabinets. The EL62 interface terminal has an IP20 protection rating and offers control over standard digital and analog slaves and extended types CTT1 to CTT5. The EL62 interface terminal depends on spring force technology to establish connections through two wires for secure performance and the configuration allows automatic or manual programming of slave addresses. The device enables quick control implementations due to its operation time which reaches 5 milliseconds and beyond. The stable data communication speed of the EL620 interface terminal reaches 167 kbit/s. It lacks built-in power contacts and it does not provide distributed clock functionality. Operational safety is achieved through 500 V electrical isolation that separates the AS-Interface from the E-bus.
The EL6201 interface terminal box consumes power through the E-bus at a rate of 120 mA when connected to stable 24 VDC source. Its AS-Interface needs 40 mA as its typical consumption while reaching up to 60 mA as its maximum. The configuration process takes place through TwinCAT manager to integrate EtherCAT devices smoothly. The EL620 interface terminal has a detection mechanism for power failure, slave failure and parameterization faults to enhance system reliability and reduce maintenance.
