Product Description:
The EL6090 is manufactured by Beckhoff as a small EtherCAT display terminal for machines. It comes with a sturdy polycarbonate casing which integrates signal LEDs and a push-in connection system that allows attachment of wires to the module. The EL terminal has a weight of approx. 70 grams and features a protection level of IP20.
The EL6090 EtherCAT terminal’s display supports 2 × 16 characters on its LC screen yet activates scrolling texts for longer messages and the backlighting features on this display allow users to see messages with ease under different environmental lighting conditions. It shows two special symbols through its 5 × 8-pixel matrix screen and offers five navigation buttons labelled as Enter, Up, Down, Left and Right. The EL terminal comprises a 32-bit operating hour counter that prevents reset while maintaining operational capacity until the year 2140 and data storage maintains security for over a century. It possesses four resettable event counters of 32 bits which provide exact time measurements. The EL terminal’s automatic data saving feature can be set either manually or through an automatic process which occurs at the 15-minute mark throughout usage. The TwinCAT system manager software functions as the program that handles the EL terminal setup.
