The EL6001 is from the EL terminal series that operates as a serial communication device built to run through RS232 technology by Beckhoff Automation. It enables data transfer by using both TxD and RxD protocols through its channels while operates within the baud values ranging from 2400 to 115200 to establish links between devices.

The EL6001 EL terminal box process an 8-bit data configuration with zero parity and one stop bit. It provides one RS232 interface to offer direct serial connections using terminal contacts and can be configured directly from the controller interface without the requirement of any address setting. The EL60 terminal box divides its operation area into 864 bytes for data collection and another 128 bytes for data transmission. It functions with data transmission efficiency by maintaining signal quality at less than 3% and the cable expansion achieves a transmission reach up to 15 meters. The EL60 terminal box has a 500 V volt signal value that operates independently as a separate voltage from the E-bus domain and does not support distributed clock operation. It offers 35 mm DIN rail module installation through its double slot connectors equipped with key-lock mechanisms. The EL60 terminal’s housing features durable polycarbonate material which contains signal indicator lights and the device spans up to 100 mm in height alongside 12 mm in width and 68 mm in depth.

The EL6001 terminal box weighs 55 g and accepts wire plugging with ES-series terminals. Its wiring specifications include solid and flexible conductors together with ferrules. It enables wiring sections ranging from 0.08 mm² to 2.5 mm² and AWG28 to AWG14 using 8 to 9 mm of stripped conductor length. The power contacts of the EL60 terminal box have a maximum current handling ability of 10 A.
