The EL5152-0000 is a Beckhoff EtherCAT terminal. EtherCAT is a high-performance, real-time Ethernet network protocol specifically designed for industrial automation. It enables fast and efficient communication between devices, making it ideal for applications that require precise timing and synchronization. The EL5152-0000 terminal provides an interface between the control system and two incremental encoders. Two encoders can connect directly to the terminal. The terminal can also be used as a counter. Special features available on the unit include per channel parameterization, microincrements, and frequency/period measurement. Via the optional microincrement function, the terminal can provide higher accuracy. Support for encoder profiles enables fast and simple linking of process data for control applications. Material used for terminal construction is polycarbonate. Dimensions of the unit are 12 x 100 x 68 millimeters. Its weight is around 50 grams.

35 mm DIN rails are suitable for terminal mounting. Flexible or solid conductors can be used for terminal wiring. Approved wire sizes range from 14 to 28 AWG.
