Product Description:

Beckhoff EL4732 is a 2-channel analog output terminal providing high speed and high accuracy requirements for EtherCAT based automation systems. This module, providing advanced direct analog signal control, plays a part of Beckhoff's robust EL EtherCAT Terminals series with extensive configurability and superior timing precision. The voltage range for each output channel is from -10 V to +10 V with 16 bit resolution including sign, which is designed for a fine tuned voltage output good for control systems, simulation environment, and signal processing applications. The output error of the terminal is a typical of less than 0.1%, ensuring that the analog signal is reproduced reliably and accurately.

The oversampling functionality of the EL4732 is one of its key characteristics, able to set a selectable oversampling factor between 1 and 100.This enables the terminal to produce multiple high resolution output samples within a single EtherCAT cycle and yields superior fidelity and time control of output signals. paired with the distributed clock synchronization, it provides the terminal with ultra precise time accuracy (<1 us) for clock precision, which is highly desirable for time critical control applications. It is also equipped with an analog output rate of up to 100 ksamples per second, the EL4732 provides rapid analog outputs with a prompt response. Additionally, it supports 32 bit Cycle Counter for fine grained control over signal generation timing and advanced process image integration with configurable bit widths.

The module is supplied with power through the E bus and has been designed for robust industrial reliability with short circuit proof outputs and load resistance capability of over 5k Ohm. It operates well within a temperature of -25C to +60C, and meets most of the stringent international standards such as CE, CCC, UL, ATEX, IECEx, cFMus. The Beckhoff EL4732 provides high speed output capabilities, configurable oversampling and precise synchronization. Thereby, this device is the perfect choice for demanding analog output applications in demanding processes of today's industrial automation systems.
