Product Description:

The Beckhoff EL4112 is a precision analog output terminal from the EL EtherCAT Terminals series which is usually known as a high resolution current output signal terminal for industrial automation applications. This terminal has two output channels and allows for current range from 0 to 20 mA, making it suitable for actuators and transducers with current based input requirements. The 16 bit resolution outputs are able to provide fine-grained control, very accurate signal reproduction. The module supports distributed clock functionality with sub microsecond precision, allowing very well synchronized output timing in EtherCAT networks. These features make it especially useful for time critical applications in process control or machine automation.

EL4112 terminal is powered via 24 V DC power contacts and provides approximately 15 mA from the power line plus the load plus 110 mA from E-bus. It permits fast response and signal adjustments in dynamic systems such that the maximum output update rate is up to 15 ksps (kilo samples per second). It has a short circuit proof feature which makes it reliable in transit conditions, and it can handle up to 500 ohm. This terminal meets several international safety and quality standards, including CE, CCC, UL, ATEX, and IECEx, making it suitable for deployment in global applications, including hazardous areas. The operating temperature range of 0C to 55C ensures stable performance in standard industrial conditions.

Compact and easy to integrate, the EL4112 provides a high-performance solution for analog signal control in distributed automation architectures. Advanced features such as watchdog functionality and user synchronization make it a highly reliable and flexible device in demanding control setups.
