The analog output port, four channel terminal, Beckhoff EL4104-0000, integrates smoothly into the EtherCAT system and provides reliable, high precision voltage output for industrial automation. The signal range for each channel is 0 to 10 V and 16 bit resolution is offered to provide fine control of the voltage to the actuators, control valves, or other such analog driven device.

Such a terminal is designed to meet performance requirements of fast and synchronized automation environments. It uses distributed clock technology that has sub microsecond synchronization accuracy (< 1 us), so that all outputs stay tightly aligned with other devices on an EtherCAT network. In addition, the EL4104 can also deliver a maximum output rate of 4,000 samples per second, ideal for use in applications that need their analog out swiftly and responsively. Direct EtherCAT E-bus power from 24 V enables the device to eliminate external device power requirements and simplifies system wiring and installation complexity. The outputs are short circuit proof with a maximum load resistance of >5 kohm. Its small size and lightweight (around 65 g) allow simple mounting in space restricted control panels.

The EL4104 operates reliably in environments from -25 C to +60 C and is ideally suited for both factory and field applications. Additional features include configurable watchdog timers and optional user synchronization that enhance safety and system flexibility. This module features built-in diagnostics and robust design, making it a great choice for delivering high performance voltage output in modern industrial control systems.
