Beckhoff EL4038-0000 is a high performance analog output terminal designed based on the requirements of modern high precision, high speed automation systems. This module, which has eight analog outputs, is part of Beckhoff's trusted EL EtherCAT Terminals series and is perfect for situations where multiple control channels in a compact format are requested.

Each output channel provides a voltage range from -10 V to +10 V with 12 bit resolution on each output channel, enabling fine-tuned control over connected analog devices. The EL4038 offers a conversion time of approximately 400 us for responsive analog signal updates which is a very important factor on dynamic industrial processes. In addition, the terminal supports distributed clock synchronization to less than 1 us accuracy, providing very accurate timing for time degrees CE" critical applications.

Reliable features, the EL4038 maintains output integrity with a relative output error of less than 0.1% of the end value and supports loads greater than 5 kohm while being short-circuit proof. Supported by 24 V DC power contacts with an energy consumption of about 40 mA from the power supply and 100 mA from the E-bus, the operation is very low power.

The unit is physically compact, easy to install and weighs only 85 grams. It operates in a wide temperature environment from -25C to +60C, all of which will make it suitable for harsh industrial applications. The terminal maps as 8 x 16-bit analog output words into the process image, allowing for seamless integration with control systems and software.
