Product Description:

The EL4032 is a two-channel Analog output terminal that is designed to support distributed clocks, allowing precise synchronization with other EtherCAT terminals. Integrating with EtherCAT networks is a differentiating factor for Beckhoff's automation solutions. Reliable analog voltage outputs from the output terminal allow for accurate control tasks in automation systems.

To provide precise signal representation for process management, the EL4032 analog output terminal produces analog signals within a ±10 V range and has a resolution of 12 bits. Operational safety is enhanced by electrically isolating the E-bus and signal voltage by 500 V. The polycarbonate used to build the terminal provides excellent stability and impact resistance, making it ideal for use in harsh environments. The process image output terminal has two 16-bit analog outputs and offers optional watchdog capability with synchronization and ramp settings that are user-specific. With a non-condensing operating humidity level of up to 95% and a storage temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, this terminal is the ideal choice.

Mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail is the intended use for the about 55 g EL4032 output terminal. A pluggable wiring system is compatible with its 2-wire, single-ended connection technology. In order to do simple diagnostics, LEDs show the current signal state. The channel is capable of withstanding loads above 5 kΩ and cannot experience a short circuit. In normal operation, the terminal draws 40 mA from its 24 V DC supply, which is supplied via power connections. In addition to being CE, UL, ATEX, and IECEx approved, the terminal's small enclosure makes good use of valuable control cabinet space. The terminal includes a feature that enables user synchronization and a configurable watchdog for enhanced process reliability.
