Product Description:

The EL3632 terminal is designed for high-performance signal acquisition. It comes with an integrated IEPE constant current supply and modulated AC voltage measurement. It supports Distributed Clocks, which provides reliable system synchronization, a feature that is extremely important in time-critical applications. The terminal has a high-performance analog parameterizable 5th order low-pass filter with the maximum cutoff frequency of 25 kHz that provides clean signal with high-frequency noise rejection.

A standard high-pass filter at 0.05 Hz also provides reliable DC decoupling, and the terminal is therefore well suited for dynamic signal acquisition. The measurement ranges can be programmed, with ±5 V being present up to 25 kHz and ±250 mV well-suited for low-frequency operations up to 10 Hz. Bias voltage monitoring tracking for sensor state monitoring is also provided in the EL3632, which enables detection of disconnection or sensor failure. It allows for a 2, 4, or 8 mA per channel, user-programmable IEPE supply current per channel, scalable on a user-by-user basis to the individual requirements for matching sensors of differing types. Power consumption via terminal contact for 24 V nominal power contact currents is generally 20 mA plus load. It is highly effective energy use within a modular I/O system. Terminal implementation anti-aliasing automatically is an enormous capability that ensures data quality through eliminating sampling artifacts.

The EL3632 also includes wire break detection, which offers fault tolerance and minimizes system troubleshooting time. Having a sensor voltage maximum set to the power contact voltage minus 1 V, makes it safeguard the sensor and avoids overvoltage conditions. It provides reliable signal fidelity and safe operation. Its bias voltage monitor and programmable current supply functionalities provide a specific solution to the monitoring of sensor performance and the integration of sensors.
